we produce the Linear Mirror II
The first task of this logbook is simple: it shows you, how physics is being done. It is now true, that physics needs a kind of "catalyst", it needs the physicist, who is doing the formula stuff. But that is not sufficient, there is more to it: imagine that we could go back in time and transport young Einstein to some village in the midst of the african jungle, where nobody knows to read or write, to grow up there. Would physics have happened? Presumably not. Therefore this logbook must have a second task: it lets you partecipate in doing physics. Your comments, your suggestions, and in particular your critique are welcome, I will post them to the best I can. (But this has nothing to do with "crowd intelligence". In physics, there is no "crowd intelligence". Therefore you should send your comments (to blog at isomorph.it), under your real name and address. Of course: if you live in a precarious position with a short time working contract, then in practice the civil rights - like freedom of speech - do not really apply to you. In which case your name will be hidden from the public on your request.) Then, and with time, this loogbook, being an experiment, may perhaps itself become a place, where physics is done. Which means: physics. Or: an idea of physics alive. And maybe we can together help correct the crime, which was done in the past, when the different members, which together make the human being were torn apart: art, architecture, philosophy, physics, sociology, economy, mathematics, and so many others. The development of the Linear Mirror technology is one of the great physics adventures of our time. So that is, where the loogbook should start from. Who knows, where it will end?
